The first part of the program discusses organizing concepts that enable participants to implement specific tools taught in the second half of the program. Session planners are able to pick from a menu of options for the second part of the program including Time Management, Goal Setting, Paper Management, Closet Organization, Kitchen Organization and Organizing Students and Children. This program typically runs one to two hours.

The Essentials of E-Mail: Imagine an in-box filled with only the most important action items. In the Essentials of E-mail workshop, you will learn how to get a handle on the electronic tool we can't live with or without. Establishing effective practices including time management, response expectations and how to use folders are important in learning how to make email work for you. This program typically runs one hour.

 

The Truth about Time: Do you find yourself wishing there was more room on your plate, 48 hours in your day...again? Understanding how to set priorities, evaluate the other obligations and get the most important tasks done are the goals of this program. Balancing the many aspects of work, home, and life is overwhelming for many. Learn which adjustments may make all the difference for you. This program typically runs one hour.

 

The Productivity of Paper: Do you remember when getting the mail used to be exciting? Now we wish it would all go away. This program focuses on creative solutions to learn what to keep, what to file and what to toss (recycle of course!) Find out about filing conventions and get permission to toss those conventions out the window.  Learn to create a system that works best for you. Find out when to file and when to pile and how to pile effectively. This program will be customized to the business or home at your request. This program typically runs one hour.

 

Getting Dinner on the Table­™ : Great for moms' groups or a lunch and learn. Ellen's hospitality management education, organizing background and desire to feed her family healthy dinners each evening laid the groundwork for this easy to implement, tremendously pressure-reducing program. Ellen will teach her 4 step method to getting dinner on the table (practically) every night.

 

The Magic of Motivating: Specifically for Professional Organizers or others in client services fields. Learn to create an environment for your clients to be successful in motivating themselves to reach their personal goals. Learn to understand myths and barriers to motivation and techniques to help clients get and stay motivated. This program was presented at the National Association of Professional Organizers national conference in May 2009.
